Christina Edelen
Hailed as a “superb harpsichordist” by the Kansas City Star, Christina Scott Edelen brings a depth of experience, knowledge, and virtuosity to historical keyboard performance on harpsichord, organ, and fortepiano. Christina has performed in Europe and the US as soloist and chamber musician in numerous ensembles, festivals and concert halls, including Boston Baroque, In Stil Moderno, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Bachkoor Holland, and the Early Music Festivals of Bloomington, Berkeley, and Boston. She studied at Indiana University’s Early Music Institute and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and was a finalist at the Bodky International Competition. Christina holds a Ph.D. in 17th Century English musical philosophy, and is a popular performer, teacher, and lecturer at universities, festivals and conferences in both Europe and the US. She has served on the faculties of the University of Houston and Baylor University. Formerly Director of Music at the Anglican Church in the Hague (Netherlands), Christina is currently Director of Music at St Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Yarmouth.
