Jonathan Kimple
Bass-baritone, Iowa native, and resident of Rochester, NY, Jonathan Kimple is a seasoned operatic singer, having sung on the stages of the Santa Fe Opera, Minnesota Opera, Opera Theatre of St Louis, Portland Opera (Oregon), Sarasota Opera, and Virginia Opera, to name a few. Some favorite roles include Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro, Sparafucile in Rigoletto, Don Pizarro in Fidelio, and Colline in La Bohème. For the last decade, Mr. Kimple has divided his time between teaching voice at the University of Notre Dame and, more recently, the Eastman School of Music while also singing in a wide array of productions with the chorus of the Metropolitan Opera and raising two young, spirited children.
