Kendra Comstock

Praised for her “clear melodic core”(Boston Music Intelligencer), soprano Kendra Comstock, is a Boston-based performer and teacher. Originally from Hartland, Vermont, Kendra is passionate about sharing Classical music in rural communities, and in 2018, Kendra produced and performed her first solo recital series of early music throughout New England, benefiting Hartland Community Arts. Following this recital, in 2021 Kendra was inspired to co-found the Pandora Consort, an early music ensemble dedicated to reimagining Classical music performance by integrating multimedia, audience interaction, and programming historically under-represented repertoire alongside contemporary repertoire. Recent engagements include performances with Vermont Chamber Artists, Pegasus Early Music, NYS Baroque, the Cambridge Chamber Ensemble, the Boston Camerata, the Concordia Consort, the Society for Historically Informed Performance (SoHIP), the Nightingale Vocal Ensemble, Tutti Music Collective, the Lilith Vocal Ensemble, the BEMF Fringe Series, and her own ensemble, the Pandora Consort.

The 2024-2025 season will feature Kendra performing and producing original programs with the Pandora Consort on the SoHIP Summer Series, the Pegasus Early Music and NYS Baroque Young Artist Series, King’s Chapel Tuesday Recital Series, the Ruth Stone House (VT), Salon Avec Moi (NYC), Saint James Early Music Series (PA), and performing as featured Guest Artists at the Sable Project (VT).

Kendra holds a MM in Historical Performance at the Longy School of Music of Bard College, where she studied with Pamela Dellal. In addition to performing, Kendra maintains a private voice studio and teaches voice and piano at the North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) and the Cambridge Music Consortium.
