Melissa Lund Ziegler

Melissa Lund Ziegler is a seasoned performer, highly regarded educator, and experienced arts administrator. She has held a position and performed regularly with the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra and Fort Wayne Philharmonic, along with numerous other orchestras across the US. Her festival experience includes appearances at renowned festivals and ensembles in Spoleto, Italy,  Aspen, CO, and Green Bay, WI where she was also featured as soloist with the orchestra.

An engaging chamber musician with a strong commitment to contemporary repertoire, Melissa has collaborated with violists Katrin Meidell and Michael Chen, has appeared in innovative interdisciplinary performances in Cleveland, OH, at universities in Wisconsin and Indiana, and performed at Concerts in the Barn in Quilcene, WA.

Melissa studied with Dr. Catharine Lees, Masao Kawasaki, Rebecca Barnes, and Dr. Katrin Meidell. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in viola performance from the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati and an Artist Diploma from Ball State University.
