Zoe Hardel
Zoe Hardel is a sophomore cellist at the Manhattan School of Music studying with Julia Lichten. She attended the New England Conservatory preparatory program in high school, studying with soloist Allison Eldredge and touring Europe with their premiere youth orchestra under David Loebel. Some of her performances include soloing with NEC’s Youth Repertory Orchestra and playing alongside the Portland String Quartet for the inauguration of Maine’s current governor, Janet Mills. Zoe has attended several music festivals, including Bowdoin International Music Festival and Meadowmount School of Music, and has studied with cellists such as Alan Stepansky and David Ying. She also has played in master classes with Lynn Harrell as well as David Garrett, and has received awards for orchestral and musical excellence and dedication. Zoe has extensive chamber music experience, studying chamber works for the past year with the renowned cellist David Geber.
